The Fisher’s Angel, Centropyge fisheri, is also known as the Orange Angelfish, Fisher’s Pygmy or Fisher’s Dwarf Angelfish, Orange Angelfish, and Yellowtail Angelfish. They are widespread across the Indo-West Pacific region from the East coast of Africa to Hawaii and southward to Australia. The body is mostly orange with a narrow blue outline on the underside and anal fin. The tail fin is nearly transparent with a touch of light yellow.

These fish are omnivores and should be fed a mix of marine algae, angelfish food, and a variety of meaty foods. Fisher’s Angelfish do best in tanks that are at least 55 gallons or more and have live rock to graze on and hide in.

They are considered reef safe with caution because they have been known to nip at clam mantles and both soft and stony corals.
